Héctor Gil Marín

My research focuses in the study of cosmology through observations of the the large scale structure of the Universe, in particular through spectroscopic galaxy surveys. I have a wide experience working on different aspects of large scale structure, including redshift space distortion (RSD) and baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) projects, both on the modelling side as well as from the extracting cosmological information from the data. I have also performed an ample research on the field of the galaxy bispectrum, both on modelling, measuring it from galaxy surveys, as well as determining its usage for detecting potential modifications of gravity signatures. Finally, I have actively collaborated building realistic mocks for both BOSS and eBOSS. I obtained my PhD at the Institut de Ciencies del Cosmos, at the Universitat de Barcelona, under the supervision of Prof. Licia Verde and Prof. Raul Jimenez. I have worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, at the University of Portsmouth, working with Prof. Will Percival. Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Lagrange Fellow at the Laboratoire de Physique Nucléaire et de Hautes Énergies (LPNHE) at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie. I am member of BOSS and eBOSS, co-chair of the galaxy clustering working group of eBOSS, and have recently joined DESI.
