Eirik Eik Svanes

After receiving my PhD from Oxford University, I joined ILP in October 2014. My main research interest is focused on string compactifications. Both from a phenomenological point of view, but also with a more mathematical interest. In particular, as a PhD student my focus was on heterotic supergravity compactifications and moduli thereof.

As a Lagrange fellow, I have also become interested in the world-sheet perspective of string theory, with a focus on (0,2) heterotic type sigma-models. From a supergravity standpoint, I am also looking further into the eleven-dimensional M-theory completion of heterotic supergravity, and the dualities with other string theories that emerge.
